Winter Solstice Candlelight Yoga for BIPOC

  • The BIPOC Alliance 140 West Oak Street Fort Collins, CO, 80524 United States (map)

This one hour, donation based class, co-taught by Aileen Weed & Shirley Man-kin Leung, is all levels friendly and will leave you feeling nourished, grounded, and refreshed. Restorative Yoga targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. It’s slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body. It is a great practice for those navigating injuries or chronic pain. This practice will also likely include a body scan, awareness of breath, and a guided visualization which brings the body and mind into a deep state of rest and relaxation. It’s perfect for anyone seeking deep relaxation of the body and mind as we celebrate the winter solstice! This class is open to anyone who identifies as Black, Indigenous, or a person of color.

If you are able to, please bring your own yoga mat, some props and yoga mats will be available. Reserve your spot here.
