Back in January, 2011, Fuerza Latina and FCCAN helped form the Coalition to
Save our Neighborhood Schools. We formed a campaign to keep Lincoln, Irish,
Putnam, Lopez, and Beattie open. We were successful.
In April, 2013, Cheryl Distaso presented information about the campaign at
the White Privilege Conference in Seattle. A pdf version of the powerpoint is
