Peace Journalism--writing Stories for a News Media in Transition

This 6-hour workshop (over 3 nights) offers Northern Colorado writers in-depth consideration of the global reform movement known as Peace Journalism, along with experience applying theory to reporting and writing assignments. Stories from this perspective create opportunities for society to consider and value nonviolent responses to conflict. To do this, writers of all genres investigate conflict from multiple viewpoints providing context and background, minimize bias that favors one side
